They normally won't add it to your package if the freeview reception checker at digitaluk.co.uk for your postcode and house number says you can't receive it at present. Don't post your address on here, but do go to the reception checker and see what it says.
Basically, BT won't risk selling it to you if there's no guarantee you can receive the service.
