Unwanted Notices

I keep getting unwanted notices from McAfee on the right-hand side of my computer screen. They state that my subscription has expired, and so on. I do not have a subscription with McAfee in any case.

I remember that this problem has occurred before, possibly about a year ago.

I would very much like to block these notices.

I am going to assume you probably got a trial with Mcafee at some point, installed by some other program or it came with your laptop or desktop.

Use this comment at your own risk.....

Windows Defender these days is half decent protection for your Windows device, its all I run, I dont run a 3rd party such as Norton, Nod32 or Mcafee on my gaming PC, I just let the inbuilt Windows defender take care of me.

So, it it were me, to remove the alerts I'd just remove Mcafee all together:
