Hi all,

I am experiencing periodic but sustained disconnects (my router says "VDSL disabled" then tries reconnecting, and the diagnostics fail at "PPP Server Connection").

Even when connected I experience 2000ms+ latency for sustained periods of time from the Default Gateway.

Here are typical pingplots for the disconnects:

And for the sustained high latency:

As you can see the issues start at the Gateway.

I am using a TP-link router / modem.

I have used the BT automatic diagnostic, which says there is no line fault. They also say there is no SLA for latency or for disconnects (and I have no speed issues so therefore I can have no complaint). There is no noise on the quiet line test. An OpenReach engineer called (but I can't have him access the property due to covid) and said there was no problem with line outside which was stable; however the frequent disconnects and crippling latency spikes make working from home next to impossible.

Any suggestions? I don't think it's my router, but if it could be solved with new equipment or settings I'd be delighted.

Thanks all!
