    <description>&lt;P&gt;welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) then advanced settings then technical log information .&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;New here so many apologies, and apologies for not having the technical knowledge of most of you on here ! Despite our nearest cabinet (1.8 miles away) being Fibre enabled where are on of the 'rural ' ones, where copper lines still prevail. The BT speed check&amp;nbsp; was 1.2mbs and I've read a lot about ADSL+2 possible being able to increase speeds slightly. Could someone please let me know how i find out if we are on an ADSL+2 connection already?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Our hub is the BT smart hub 2.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Many thanks&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
