Consistent lag spikes/packet loss

Hi,

So this is my first post so apologies in advance for anything I do wrong.

My issue is that playing online games is a pain, sometimes it’s fine, other times not so much. I will get lag spikes that go to 144ms to 30-40ms which cycles every 10 seconds or so.

I’m on BT Superfast Fibre, and I get decent download speed (6-7 MB/s) but the lag and packet loss is really annoying me. I’m connected using a desktop into a Powerline adaptor (BT’s own), I have connected directly into the router, and the issue still occurs.

Pinging my router shows delays from 7-10ms, and disconnecting every device in my household still shows this. The issues have been occurring for several months, but now I want to turn to some experts to assist!
