Help required. Our Smart Hub 2 turns to a flashing orange light everyday between 8.30-11.30 am and does not come back until between 17.30-21.30 everyday including weekends. Our longest outage was over 14 hours. We’re on a 2nd hub and have changed location of the hub and done all the resets but it still remains on flashing orange. As a result of this happening since the end of March we have spent a lot of money on additional mobile data to hotspot to enable home schooling etc. We’ve kept a note of the times it goes out and comes back on and it does not tie in with anything in our house switching on or off. We’re at the end of our tether. Grateful for any help and to hear if others have had the same issue. BT have said they can’t do anything due to the current situation.

Is there any noise on your phone calls? Dial 17070 and select option 2, there should be no noise between the announcements.

Thank you for the info, have tried but the phone we use on our land line the test line doesn’t recognise when we select option 2. Will try and get a different phone and see what happens. Internet has already gone today.

do you get a dial tone?

are you using the master socket or better still the test socket with a filter

I get a dial tone and can get through to the test line but when it asks to select an option it doesn’t appear to recognise the selection, it will read all the options out, The line goes quiet for about 2 seconds and then it cuts off.

Its not the master socket and it does have a filter.

We have nothing plugged into the main incoming socket and have never used that socket in over 20 years due to its location.

You really need to test from the master socket regardless of what has been OK for the last 20 yrs.

HI @Zelda18 ,

Is it perhaps a cordless phone that does not accept the first button press after you have dialled the number. I get that all the time when asked to press "1", I have to press it twice then all is OK.
