    <description>&lt;P&gt;My internet keeps dropping out, and incidentally the phone line is unusable because of the amount of noise on the line.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;15 mins ago when it died completely again, I tried the "remove the faceplate and plug the phone into the test socket" and I got absolutely nothing, not even static, totally dead line.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; But 5 minutes later it's back.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; There are never any issues reported in my area when I check.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The hub needs restarting a couple of times a week minimum lately.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Download speeds have also been pretty abysmal lately, 800kb/s for a Steam download for instance, can't watch 1080p.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's not all the time, I went through the labyrinth of BT help pages last week and a fault was raised I think, and it improved a bit, but it's just dropped again.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; It does seem to come and go randomly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can anyone help further?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Last time I went through this a few years ago BT made me buy another hub, it didn't particularly help, on another occasion they sent an engineer out and they replaced a corroded junction box.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You need to report a&lt;STRONG&gt; phone fault&lt;/STRONG&gt; not a broadband one.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Raise a fault report of no dial tone or a noisy phone line. Once that has been fixed, the broadband will get better.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;That's what it was logged as last week - &lt;EM&gt;landline, can't make or receive calls&lt;/EM&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The fault got raised, they've closed it now and claim it's fixed.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Just plugged the phone in and no dial tone or anything (new BT phone bought 6 months ago specifically for testing the line with a known good phone).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I mention the broadband because tbh I don't even use the landline any more so it's the effect it has on the broadband that matters.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;NB - last week I did at least have a dial tone and static on the line, this week I'm not getting anything.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Not even sure how I'm getting broadband if that's the case.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;DIV class="col-md-16 col-sm-16 col-xs-16"&gt;&lt;DIV class="col-md-8 padding-left-0  col-sm-8 col-xs-16"&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Then report the landline fault again. The broadband will not work properly if the landline is faulty.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
