Broadband down ‘working on the network’

Anyone else had problems with their fibre broadband today (17/06/2020). On the stroke of midnight my broadband went down, Wi-fi fine, just lost all internet.

all service status on BT websites are green, all checks are green except for the message “we’re working on the network”. And it might be down for 24 hours. Seriously? They choose midweek during lockdown to perform network maintenance when I’ve got a business to run from home? Is that a sensible move? What’s wrong with a weekend m?

no notice was given, nothing.

Some information about what’s happening would be useful.

Hi @Andrewclure welcome to the forum and sorry your broadband connection went down. Has your connection returned ok? If not have a check on the Service Status page to see if there is a known fault in your area.

cheers

John
