Connection speed vs download speed

I have recently had an upgrade from 160Mb/s FTTC to 330Mb/s FTTC with a guaranteed minimum speed of 150Mb/s. My home hub shows:

Data rate: 49.131 Mbps / 328.823 Mbps

Maximum data rate: 76.975 Mbps / 343.771 Mbps

However on various speed tests including BT my download speed is 140Mb/s and upload speed 48Mb/s with a ping of 7ms. The download speed is the same as before the upgrade and the upload speed has significantly increased.

Should there be such a difference between the connected data rate and tested download speed and does the guaranteed speed refer to the connection speed or download speed?
