Fibre Installation.

Looking for help on a recent installation

ordered fibre 2 and had a gent come and sort out the master socket today

but it still looks the same and we have a smart hub 2 so I can’t actually connect the hub as we wasn’t sent a adsl filter either.

Im I being silly here or did something not get installed that should have. Or have I been sent the wrong hub?

which socket you don't need filter for 5/6/7

Sadly I still have socket 4

looks like I’ll just have to go out and buy the ADSL filter myself

was told on the phone a ONT would be installed. But it hasn’t so I’ll just have to call them and see what’s the deal 🤷🏻‍♂️

so are you expecting FTTP or FTTC (uses phone socket)

FTTP.

and been sent a smart hub2 so was expecting a modem to be installed this seems to have happened with the guy next door too.
looks like I need a filter then.
I’ll call them and see what’s going on

FTTP doesn't use a phone line - so no need to buy an ADSL filter. You should have an ONT fitted which is an optical modem that connects to the fibre optic cable. Your new SH2 then connects to the ONT.

Does your new hub have a red WAN port?

Yeah all I got was the Smart hub 2

power cable

red and yellow Ethernet cables.

So I feel like I should of got the Modem installed today

or another hub delivered
