Fibre900 Speeds with Ubiquiti Dream Machine

Hi, is anyone running Fibre900 with a Ubiquiti Dream Machine and if so what download speeds are you seeing with intrusion detection /deep packet inspection both turned off and a cable connection?

I have a UDM and have just ordered Fibre900 - will keep you posted.

Hi, I have that exact set up. Before and after the UDM, I'm hitting the same speeds c.800 - 840Mbps.

Switching intrusion detection on made no difference - I think the UDM is rated at 850Mbps for dpi & int. det.

Thanks @jchasty , do you know if those are the same speeds to your ONT or a limit of the UDM?

On paper I think I read the UDM is ~850 with intrusion detection enabled.

Are you happy with the UDM in general? I’ve just swapped over from a SmartHub2 and so far it’s been a pretty good experience.

Yes, very happy. In fact, I went full on with Ubiquiti APs and PoE switches - all brilliant!

I’m trying to avoid the temptation of adding APs myself just now as I’ve an Orbi mesh in AP mode.

I’m sure I’ll give in soon enough though.

Yeah, I went a bit mad and added 5 switches and 5 APs.... 🤣
