Hi

Having recently reporting a fault . I was told I was due an upgrade , so a new smart hub 2 (instead of the old hub and modem) was sent out first to see if that was the problem , it wasn't , and so an engineer was sent out , found a fault and replaced the cable to the house. all fine , no loss of connection since, but the speeds aren't as should be .

this is what I'm supposed to have .

I'm thinking it may be reduced because of the previous fault.( banded profile?)

I was told it may fluctuate for a week or 2 till it stabilised . but its been rock solid at the same speeds

stats from hub after a reboot

Product name,BT Smart Hub 2
Serial number,+091298+2020024054
Fireware version,v0.17.01.12312-BT (Mon May 11 18:49:53 2020)
Board version,R01
GUI version,1.56 15_02_2019
DSL uptime,0 days 0 Hours 1 Mins 3 Secs
Data rate,15.6 Mbps / 34.8 Mbps
Maximum Data rate,15.9 Mbps / 35.6 Mbps
Noise margin,6.2/6.2
Line attenuation,4.7/14.7
Signal attenuation,4.7/17.4
VLAN id,101
Upstream error control,Off
Downstream error control,Off
Data sent / received,883.3 KB Uploaded / 7.9 MB Downloaded
Broadband username,bthomehub@btbroadband.com
BT Wi-Fi,Active
2.4 GHz wireless network name,BT-3CAJ55
2.4 GHz wireless channel,Smart (Channel6)
5 GHz wireless network name,BT-3CAJ55
5 GHz wireless channel,Smart (Channel36)
Wireless Security,WPA2 (Recommanded)
Wireless mode,Mode 1
Firewall,On
MAC address,18:82:8C:27:F3:35
Software variant,-
Boot loader, 0.1.7-BT (Thu Nov 30 09:45:22 2017)

any help as to who to contact for assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks ,Dean

from your stats you have a 34.8mb connection on an attainable line of 35.6mb so almost at max with noise margin about normal at 6db. you are not in a banded profile

enter your phone number and post results delete number but leave exchange and cab
