The whole PON Probably went down. When something like that happens it triggers an alarm and a PTO, Precision Test Officer is on it like a car bonnet.

Out of the blue my FTTP died about 30 minutes ago, I’ve done the usual reboots but still nothing. Is this likely to be a line fault?

LOS = Loss of Signal.

Most likely a line fault.

Your Fibre will come from a SASA that works on a 32 Way Split. So One Fibre Splits 32 Ways to Serve 32 Circuits, ideally they only like to use no more than 28 though.

Is it just yours out or are any of your neighbours? If it’s just you the fault will mostly likely be between the Splitter and your house.

If it’s all 32 Circuits on that SASA then the issue will most like be between the Head End and SASA.

It came back to life a few hours later, I’ve no idea what the issue was. Thanks.
