BT fibre hub restarts automatically every night

Hi,

I had BT Full Fibre installed last week. It’s great, very fast, excellent WiFi.

But every night just after midnight it restarts or reboots. It kicks me off the internet and after a few minutes it’s back. Very annoying for online gaming.

I see there has been much said about this in previous postings dating right back in time, but nowhere do I see it resolved.

Before I call BT, can anyone help?

have you tried a factory reset of hub by pressing the recessed button on back and holding for 20/30 secs until lights flash

is there anything in your home which switches on or off about that time

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I hadn’t tried that, so just tried it. Going to have to wait and see if it goes off again at midnight.
I will check the event log on the hub In the morning.

Nothing in the house turns on or off at that time.

Good news so far, the full reset to factory settings appears to have worked, so far so good! Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I do wonder why a new unit needed to be fully reset to factory, odd.
