You can contact Openreach about altering their Network;

https://www.openreach.com/network-services/altering-our-network

Another option is Openreach do use these things, not sure of their exact name. It’s like a bag they put into the duct, fill it with some gas and it seals the duct. Never use it personally so as said I don’t knows it exact name.

Moving FTTP line

Hi,

We’ve got FTTP in our house, with the fibre line coming under the house and into the ONT under the stairs. Recently our house flooded through this duct which carries this line, so I was wondering if it’s possible for BT/Openreach to move this line so it comes up the front of my house, through the exterior wall and routed under the stairs.

I would then look to cement up the duct under the house to seal off this leak path. So if the duct did fill with water it would just come up the outside of the house rather than inside.

Is this something that is possible?

Thanks

Stewart

Nice one thanks, I’ve just sent Openreach a message, might give them a phone though to see what’s possible!
