The maximum data rate is a projected figure predicated on a particular SNRM figure. It is possible that when your line synced initially there was very little noise and thus a high sync speed. I suspect your noise margin figure is now very low and if you were to resync you would resync at a slower speed.

Smart Hub Technical Log

I have a Smart Hub 2 with G.fast which generally performs well. However, when it comes to speed, I have noticed the following entries in the technical log

Data rate:9.105 Mbps / 134.061 Mbps

Maximum data rate:8.832 Mbps / 111.693 Mbps

How can the maximum data rate be less than the actual data rate? Is this a nonsense or am I just not understanding it properly?
