Hello, I have full fibre 900 adn I was wondering if the BT red ethernet cable supplied with the smart hub 2 can be upgraded say to CAT8 - I can't telll if this red cable is a special cable or just a standard CAT5 ethernet cable with coloured ends to idiot proof the self set up? Or does it not matter at all?

It's just a standard Ethernet cable.

'Upgrading' it to Cat 8 for that distance will make absolutely zero difference.

They’re just standard Cat5e Cables. The reason they’re just Colour Coded to try to make them idiot proof.
