joing bt from plusnet

im looking at coming back to bt from plusnet what i cannot understand is bt are offering me slower speeds than what im getting with plus bt i was with bt before i joined plusnet when i was with bt i was getting 38-41 meg now im with plusnet im getting 50-51 meg
