This is my setup - ONT on the wall and media points throughout the house. The media points currently have a port for a telephone (totally useless in this day and age) and I was wondering if I could use what is currently in place to get wired internet throughout the house?

If the cables have 4 twisted pairs, you could change the phone sockets for RJ45 sockets.

Are you sure you only have phone sockets and not Ethernet RJ45 sockets as well?

Looking at the pictures closer, the sockets look like RJ45 anyway, not phone sockets. Could be RJ11, but unlikely.

Hi, thanks for your help. This is what the socket is. Also, I have removed the face plate and this is what is behind the phone socket.

Hmm, not a lot of use to you.

Looks like it is only 3 pair CW1308 cable so that can't even be used as an Ethernet cable. You will either need to run a Cat5E Ethernet cable or use powerline adaptors.

Exactly. Openreach do recommend developers to cable Ethernet to various rooms back to a patch panel adjacent to the ONT. Obviously developer wasn't listening.
