Your assumption is correct. Your current broadband speed is the physical limit that your copper line can run at. The upgrade involves running a new fibre all the way into the house, which is why you'll need at least 1 engineer visit.

Good Evening,

I just upgraded my internet and will get the new hub in a few days, however, my engineer visit isn't until the end of April.

I assume I keep my existing speed until after the visit? I wonder because as it stands I believe I'm still copper to the property until the visit.

Does anyone happen to know?

Thank you for your time.
