    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Guys,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Many thanks for your comments on the above Subject.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Today ; 06/05/2021 at about 10.00 AM Openreach Engineer &lt;STRONG&gt;Fixed the Problem&lt;/STRONG&gt;, according to the engineer the issue was at the Fibre Cable underground in the gully, 100 meters away from my home, the cable was not joined properly. Also he mentioned that the fibre cable was "Crossed Wired" may be it is possible a &lt;STRONG&gt;Poor Splicing&lt;/STRONG&gt; at the joining of the Fibre Cable.       <title>Why FTTP is  not completed ?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#FF0000"&gt;Order ************* :-&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#FF0000"&gt;Since 19th of January 2021 the above job is still not completed. Please give me some reasons for this 3 months long delay. &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#FF0000"&gt;Many Openreach engineers visited my home and no results ?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#FF0000"&gt;Please action this job to a proper engineer who knows the FTTP work.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#000000"&gt;I have&amp;nbsp;reported the above complaint to MyBT. &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;FONT size="4" color="#000000"&gt;Is&amp;nbsp;there any thing else that I can do to get my &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.bt.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/279925"&gt;@GAM23&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;welcome to the community and thanks for posting, I'm really sorry about the delay getting your FTTP broadband connected. Openreach delayed most FTTP installs for customers who were getting over 30Mb due to the lockdown to keep customers and engineers safe.&amp;nbsp; They resumed the installs last month but I understand they're working through a backlog of orders.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As there have been engineer visits to you already, have the fibre team advised you there are engineering issues with the network?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;To get an update, I'd recommend speaking directly to the FTTP connections team on&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;0800 587 4787. T&lt;/SPAN&gt;hey can check with Openreach as to what's happening with your order.&lt;/P&gt;

I have been talking to BT Fibre department for couple of weeks, but no luck at all !!!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After reading lots of complaints on the various Fibre Forums, with regards to &lt;STRONG&gt;my current issue&lt;/STRONG&gt; which is &lt;FONT color="#008000"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;PON (Passive Optical Network)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;light is flashing&lt;FONT color="#008000"&gt; "&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;FONT color="#339966"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#008000"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Green".&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I believe, below comments (in Red) may be the solution ? Please let me know your thoughts.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#FF0000"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If the &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;PON light is flashing&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;, The ONT is losing the SYNC with the exchange and if the &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;light&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;levels are low at my premises then this will be an &lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;On-Going Problem&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt;. &amp;nbsp;I will ask an engineer-out to check the &lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;SPLICE&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt; and the&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;light&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; levels at&amp;nbsp;the &lt;U&gt;Openreach grey plastic&amp;nbsp;box&lt;/U&gt; which is mounted on the&amp;nbsp;wall outside my home, in-case this is an underlying fault.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;A flashing PON could be due to a number of different reasons.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;High Light Loss of -27dBm or more, which itself could be caused by a number of issues, Bad Splice, Dirt/Damage to the SC Connector, A Bad/Faulty Splitter Assembly, Damaged Fibre Cable.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ONT Mismatch.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Faulty ONT.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Connected to Wrong Head End and or Wrong Head End Port.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Profile Build Issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Faulty CBT Port where it’s failed to make a connection to the Connectorised End of the fibre cable.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I have been waiting for a long period now. My next door people got FTTH (home) from&lt;STRONG&gt; Community Fibre Company in London&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;since November 2020 and their FTTH is working fine and their download speed is very steady and about 150Mbps. Why can't&amp;nbsp;Openreach / BT fix my FTTP and moreover, I have been with BT for almost 40 years.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I really appreciate, any comments on the above issues to get my FTTP up &amp;amp; running.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
