Was getting stable service for a fair old while. This from 03Nov20, Down rate 79.8Mbps.

Some connection problems started in early April, and out of curiosity I took a screenshot of the Broadband Availability when the line was already having problems - Max observed 70.94Mbps on 20April20.

The line fault was repaired 29th April and here's how it's performing now, Down rate 69.6Mbps.

Having less of a service (reduced by ~10Mbps) than we did prior to the fault and subsequent repair and paying the same for it does not sit well at all. Has anyone had similar problems and managed to have their service restored to pre-fault standard?

As was posted on your other thread - you 'new' line since the change made by openreach is just not quite as good as the your previous line hence the drop in speed. Your connection speed is still within your expected range from dslchecker and from stats noise margin is down at about 3db suggesting G.INP has already been activated by DLM and line has already had speed boost

Until you change the laws of physics, your line isn't going to improve. As your speed is now the same as it was pre fault, albeit very slightly slower than it was in November, the reduction was possibly due to a new crosstalk disturber being provisioned.

Connection running full tilt again and it wasn't necessary to 'change the laws of physics'. Seems it was just a case of explaining the problem to the right people on Broadband Faults and not being fobbed off.

Though there clearly many very learned folk on here who offer sage advice but they're not infallible - if you know there's something wrong, stick to your guns.

OK it's a fair cop.

But I find myself disappointed, but not entirely surprised there's no evidence of humble pie consumption by those who offered 'advice' including on the laws of physics. So it goes...
