Fibre install soon?

A van rolled up last week chopping back all the branches around our telephone lines and they ran a blue rope along the lines. The helpful chap said this was to pull fibre along the lines and should happen soon.

My question is does this mean fibre will be installed soon? Any rough estimation on completion times?

Its hard to say really,

for when they did my area just little over year they had blue rope around the poles for several months before cables were put on.

However some further up my street still have blue rope 1 year later from this day.

So it is hard to give estimate really.

At least you didn't get the picture of a bit of string that I got.

Anyway, it's a step forward at least. Is it openreach installing ?

If it is, it's worth going to their web page, and registering interest in fttp and they should let you know when it's ready. Always worth having a chat with the techs in the street to. Always found them helpful. (They like tea too, but cv19 probably would stop that now)
