    <description>&lt;P&gt;welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if&amp;nbsp; HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;All the speeds quoted by BT are connection speeds to the hub not download speed&amp;nbsp; no ISP&amp;nbsp; guarantees download speed&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Extremely Poor Internet Speed</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I signed up for BT Broadband at the beginning of May (was on Virgin) and was told my package would be guaranteed at 45 mbs.&amp;nbsp; Well, having run an internet speed check every week, I have never got higher than 24 mbs.&amp;nbsp; Having also recorded how many times it reboots itself&amp;nbsp; (I had 19 in one day), I find this disgusting and considering going back to Virgin.&amp;nbsp; As I work from home at the weekend, I am finding that I am constantly frozen out of meetings due to the speed being too slow and not acceptable for what I am paying for!&amp;nbsp; I have just run a speed check and it has come back at 8 mbs download and 0.5 upload.&amp;nbsp; What can I do to ensure I get the speed I am paying for or should I just go back to another company.&amp;nbsp; This has been going on since day one.&amp;nbsp; I understood that I had to wait for 10 days to settle but 3 months later and the internet speed is rubbish and the internet keeps rebooting.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
