      <title>Can someone reset my DLM please?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;I have gfast which has provided 130 Mb/S until recently. Now I am getting below the advertised 100Mb. This may well be due to reorganisation of my equipment and turning it off due to home decorating. Looks like DLM has adjusted me down.&amp;nbsp; Can my DLM be reset without the need for an engineer call out?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;DLM is an automated process and will not be reset manually by an engineer unless a fault has been found and fixed. If your line is now stable it will eventually increase your speed back to what it was but this process can but not necessarily will take a few weeks or more.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Your connection time is only 8hrs was that router dropping internet connection or manual reset. You need a stable connection before and changes . Is there any noise on quiet line test. Dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the suggestions. Quiet line test was clear. Reason for just 8 hours up time is that I phoned BT yesterday and someone in Dublin reset my router.&amp;nbsp; The same person has scheduled an engineer call out for Thursday so hopefully they will be able to reset my speed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>As gg30340 said, Direct Line Management is automatic. Be patient and wait a few days for your speed to return to normal. If the issue is not fixed, contact BT ( I forgot the phone number :/)</description>

&lt;P&gt;If line was reset yesterday I would have have thought you should have longer uptime than 8 hours by tonight.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There is no number to phone to get a DLM reset on vdsl unlike adsl&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;DLM will automatically make changes on the connection&amp;nbsp; to optimise the speeds etc as long as there are no faults on the line. Can you get back to us after the engineer visit and let us know how it goes?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Thanks for all your comments.&amp;nbsp; I am reporting back after 3 days as suggested. The engineer who came out was only able to check the internal set up. He advised me that for any significant changes to the incoming speed etc. I would need to have an openreach engineer involved. The d&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;ownstream sync speed showing on my router status page was &lt;/SPAN&gt;106.32 Mbps when he visited and has stayed at that figure since but I am still getting under 100 using the "MyBT" app and other speed testers. As previously mentioned I was getting more like 130 on those tests previously. My question now is that since my router says 106.32 does that mean that BT will just say I am getting the advertised speed for my package&amp;nbsp; of at least 100, this despite the fact that I know there has been a deterioration in the service?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;all speeds quoted by BT are connection speeds not download speed so at present you are getting above the 100mb connection speed and with stable line may well get a bit faster&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Have you managed to keep a stable connection for any length of time as last stats showed only 8hrs - you are going to need a few weeks at least&amp;nbsp; if you are unable to maintain a stable connection then you need engineer visit to find cause of stability problem and if he fixes it then ask for a DLM reset.&amp;nbsp; Engineer needs to find and fix problem before DLM reset&lt;/P&gt;</description>
