    <description>&lt;P&gt;The upload is a different issue, you need to leave the HH2 plugged in for a while and it'll correct itself from 50Mbps.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The download should be 900ish, though. Replacing the HH2 seems sensible.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have noticed an ongoing speed issue with the Smart Hub 2 and FTTP for a few months now. After a few hours the 5ghz speeds go very slow I have tried factory resetting the router but nothing works. I have noticed BT have rolled out a few updates to the Smart Hub 2 another just on the 31st November 2021 but these have made no difference. The speeds work all ok when you first restart the hub but after a few hours or a day the speeds go very slow. I have had to reinstall the old Ultrafast Smart Hub which is very good and the speeds are working as they should. Has anyone any ideas whats going on? Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also the problem I will have BT are changing my home phone over too Voip very soon which needs connecting to the Smart Hub 2 but its not working correctly so I cannot do this with the old Ultrafast Smart Hub which I do prefer to use its a very good router in my opinion one of BT's best&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've been on this package for a good 6 months now this is not a new package for anyone wanting to know&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I found out today I can connect Voip through the Openreach Box not just the Smart Hub 2 so I will stick with the Ultrafast Smart Hub until this is fixed. Is this somesort of bug known?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Note the with BT Digital Voice you can only access the service via the SH2 and not the ONT, that will only work with Fibre Voice Access which is being migrated to DV.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The voice port on the ONT has no function for DV.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I have 2.4ghz side switched off on my Home Hub 2 settings and if you had read my further comments above I've re-installed the original BT Ultrafast Home Hub made for an FTTP connection which works all ok. I'm assuming what I say about the BT Smart Home Hub 2 having a 5ghz bug is correct else after a small period of time this speed reduction would not happen.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Its on Channel 40 Ive tried all sorts of different settings the home hub 2 seems to always revert back to this speed issue. The Ultrafast Hub works fine. The only thing I havent tried is a pin reset on the home hub 2 I will try that&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thank you for posting. I have the Fibre 900 package at home myself and I haven't seen any issues with the 5Ghz speeds on my Smart Hub 2.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;When you say the speeds drop, what speeds do you get when good compared to when it is bad?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It would be worthwhile trying the factory reset to see if that makes a difference.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If I do a normal reset on the BT home hub 2 and run a speed test asap from my desktop I get rougly 600Mbps Down and 102Mbps up. When I have left the BT home hub 2 for24hrs and run a test again, it goes down to roughly 90Mbps Down and 70Mbps up and these do not go back to normal speeds unless I do a home hub 2 reset again. The BT Ultrafast home hub works all ok all the time but my problem is my phone line is being disconnected very soon for Voip and this can only work with the home hub 2 else I would just stick with my BT Ultrafast home hub and not worry about&amp;nbsp; the problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am going to try a full factory reset I will update my thread thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This time if it goes wrong again I will post a video of a speed test to show the problem&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I tried again to set up the home hub 2 after a full pin reset. Straight away this time again it didn't work the speeds go up and down also the upload wont go above 50Mbps, its clearly not working properly at all, very obvious, no point recording a video. I will give the FTTP team a ring in the week and see if they can send me a home hub 2 replacement out, it looks like the hub could be faulty. It doesn't make sense that the BT Ultrafast Hub works all ok flawless but when I plug the home hub 2 back in it's not working as it should, it's got to be a faulty hub here I can only think now it could be that&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can I please ask is there anyway of me having Voip without having to use the BT Home Hub 2 for example keep using the Ultrafast hub? thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Afraid BT's digital voice will only with with the Smart Hub 2 as this has the internal components required along with DECT receiver for use of the BT Digital Voice Handset and adaptors. Unfortunately there isn't any way to get the VoIP/SIP configuration for use with other routers with the capability of supporting VoIP/SIP devices.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Alternatively you could go Broadband only and move to a third party VoIP provider&lt;/P&gt;</description>
