cannot see any functionality within BT Cloud app? Uploaded audio book and every time I access it the audio restarts from beginning?

That's probably because every time you listen to it, it's downloading again from the start.

Where are you getting your audio books from?

so I have to dload file first then I can pause when I wish and start from that position?

File is an .mp3 that a friend sent me

It would depend on whether your media player supports that function or not
