my BT app, it is not available on my android Phone

Hi all,

I have a phone which was running Android 10. I went to play store, search for my BT app but I couldn't see it available for installation. Where am I supposed to find the app and install it?

Thanks for your answer. Putting in my BT as a search keyword was what I did. However, I couldn't see any BT app which is developed by BT Group. I saw BT email and BT Cloud but not my BT.

Is there anything wrong with my Android if it is only my problem?

Just put BT as the search and the My BT app is at the top of the list.

Did you try the link I posted in Message 2? That should take you direct to a list of BT apps as described by @licquorice .

Hi all,

Thanks for all the replies. However, I couldn't see any my BT in the list while I was searching for bt in the Google Play store. None of them looks like my BT which is from BT Group.

Is there something else I could do like getting the apk somewhere else or install other stores?

Perhaps Google Play Store considers you not to be using a UK account or UK based for some reason.

@ramfong Are you using a VPN? Are you in the UK?

Hi,

I am currently in UK. I turned off the VPN and I still couldn't find the my BT app. The google play store location is probably the cause. Let me find another phone and try it out with a UK play store.

Thanks for your reply. I still couldn't find an Android which is a UK account. I got an iPhone which is UK account and that phone could install my BT. I believe this is the issue.

I couldn't think of a valid reason why the company bans non UK account for my BT while bt cloud and bt wifi are available. Arguing with them is absolutely futile. I will just try to get a phone with UK account.

ramfong - did you actually try the link that was provided in the second response???? Just out of interest.... I think we understand that searching for BT doesn't work for you but how about the link that will take you directly to the MYBT app for android.....?????

Try clicking it and report back what happens....
