BT Virus Protect - Updates download but wont Install

Updates are set to automatically install, but the latest one is stuck at "0%". I think it may have been trying to install since the latest Windows 10 update was released to my PC last week - version 20H2.

I've tried McAfee support and BT Support, and neither were helpful. I tried re-installing, but this seems to have got stuck too ! 😞

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated

Hi @NeilM welcome to the community and thanks for posting. I'm sorry to see you're experiencing problems installing your BT Virus protect software. Can you try the tips on the McAfee help site for installation issues and let me know if that helps?

After all of my efforts, I managed to resolve. Right clicking on the McAfee Icon gives you the option to "check for Updates". Chosing this seemed to unblock the update that was running and it installed in seconds
