TrueKey

My true key app says it can't connect to the servers. message is "There seems to be a problem connecting to the True Key servers." It has been working fine for years. Tried on 3 different PC's, same result.
Broadband is working fine..
Any ideas please?

As a matter of interest kiwi bob, have you just gone on to digital voice, as I have?

Same here. I have Truekey set up on my laptop and on my android phone. Neither will log in. I have also just moved over to digital voice.

I'm trying to get help from BT via the phone, and will update if I find out any more.

I have called for support twice and the phone has rung off without answer twice.

I can log in using data on my iPhone, but not with the Halo 3 WiFi. So it’s definitely BT

Just as well it's not for anything important, like accessing all our online accounts.

Did you know you can log in to truekey off line? You can’t add new logins but you can use your existing ones.

I can't log into Truekey offline at all. I'm using Firefox, and the extension just spins and spins on screen without doing anything. And the Android app doesn't seem to have that option.

Not good.

It seems to be a problem with the Truekey server(s). Yesterday I noticed a huge volume of complaints on the McAfee forums as well as the twitter feeds @McAfee_Help and @McAfee

As of late yesterday and this morning it seems possible to log in now, though it may take several attempts.

I'm in as well, which is a relief. But I think I'm going to have to find another password manager after this experience. Any suggestions?

Took a lot longer to log in on my pc than the iPhone. I've not been too happy with other aspects of TrueKey (eg getting it to automatically create logins from the broswer) but I wonder if I might just be changing one set of problems for another if I go for another app.

Regarding other password managers, I've heard Bitwarden mentioned. But this isn't a recommendation, just one possibility to consider.
