BT Wi-Fi (with fone?)

Have just changed my PAYG phone. Old one automatically connected to BT Wi-Fi when out and about, if it was available. New one needs to be logged in every time. And noticed the same on my laptop - even to the BT Wi-Fi signal radiated from my own router.

is there not a setting in your new mobile to connect automatically

There is on my laptop PC, but it doesn't connect automatically to BT Wi-Fi either. But does to my home Wi-Fi - BT is the ISP too.

Does your phone connect automatically to BT Wi-FI when it sees that signal, when out and about?

In the BT wifi app, go to settings and tick the automatic login box.
