Bt Virus Protect / McAfee

No problems with BT virus protect ( McAfee) But keep getting emails from McAfee saying my protection has finished and need to re-join /pay for service. Why should I need to do this? I have BT Virus protect as part of my BT package ? Is it a scam ?

Hi @mikeb28, welcome to the forum and, thanks for posting. I suspect that this is a scam email so please forward it to phishing@bt.com

If you need reassurance that your Virus Protect is active and up to date then follow these steps:

Double-click the M icon in your taskbar
Click Navigation and select the Automatic Updates link
Click Turn On button. (This will only appear if Updates are switched off)
Verify that BT Virus Protect Updates are now enabled. Click Download to install updates automatically. Then click on Done. If updates are enabled, check after some time that the "Updates are current"
