    <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the reply NeilO,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have always known the date of the technical move&lt;BR /&gt;involving an engineer, that was not my worry.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My concern is, how can I get online as the home move&lt;BR /&gt;person said I could, even before the line was live.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mike.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello again all.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am moving home in the next few days and BT in their wisdom&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;have arranged to carry out the technical part of the move on&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;December 1st!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, no phone line, but the man I spoke to said that I would still&lt;BR /&gt;get connected, is this so?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a new type 2 hub, the all black one with a shiny circle in&lt;BR /&gt;the centre, but no Wi-Fi extender.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I didn't think that it would work without a telephone line.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am interested in any reply that will put my mind at ease.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank in advance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mike.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You will need an active phone line to get broadband unless you are getting FTTP and have something like this&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the swift reply imjolly, I might be getting&lt;BR /&gt;one of those supplied, but I don't know, the man I spoke&lt;BR /&gt;to a couple of weeks ago said I would get connected OK,&lt;BR /&gt;but the order and the engineer are both arriving on the&lt;BR /&gt;1st of December.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There is no indication of anything happening and each time&lt;BR /&gt;I try to call, I get no reply, unfortunately my patience runs&lt;BR /&gt;out around 30 minutes with no reply.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The WIFI on my machine is switched on, but I again am not&lt;BR /&gt;sure if it will pick up a "Hot Spot", I am in a city, but my old&lt;BR /&gt;address is surrounded by private connection and no open BT.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried to get the BT WIFI App, but it is already installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The home move welcome pack is due to arrive on 30th November.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mike.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;you can use BTWIFI but need a BT customer using a hub to be near where you are.&amp;nbsp; without the phone line you cannot get internet&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks again NeilO,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried to download BT Wifi into my PC, but the Google&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;play store doesn't have my PC listed I do have it on my&lt;BR /&gt;phone though.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't know about hot spots at the new place, the dead&lt;BR /&gt;area is at my old place.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If there is a hotspot, will the Wifi with Windows 10 be&lt;BR /&gt;able to connect me?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mike.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You don't need to use the BTWIFI app &amp;nbsp;if your wireless device can 'see' the BTWIFI network on the available list then you should be able to connect using your BTID and password&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you once again imjolly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The type two hub I have is Wifi I know, but can it find&lt;BR /&gt;another Wifi source if it is plugged in to the electric but&lt;BR /&gt;not the phone line?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I was at the new address today and my phone found the&lt;BR /&gt;internet, so there must be a source handy.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks again to you all for being there and for being so helpful.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mike.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Well Gents,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Things are moving in an unusual way, I got a text from BT&lt;BR /&gt;telling me that they are sending me a 4Gwi-fi mini hub&lt;BR /&gt;that I ordered, I can't remember ordering anything like a&lt;BR /&gt;mini hub!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There is no order number for it either, maybe it is part of&lt;BR /&gt;the Home Move, it is coming with&amp;nbsp; an unlimited data SIM&lt;BR /&gt;card and broadband back up is&amp;nbsp; switched on, so now I know&lt;BR /&gt;how it is done.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks again for you help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mike.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
