Has anyone managed to connect Sonoff smart switches to the latest Homehub?

I have switched off the 5GHz network, renamed the 2.4GHz network to take out the hyphen and still the switch will not pair with the BT Homehub. I have also changed the wireless mode to Mode 3 and while this helped alleviate some problems with connection to my heating system smart controller (also 2.4 GHz) it did not help the Sonoff.

I was able to connect Sonoff to an Apple Airport hub by turning off the 5Ghz pairing, creating a separate SSID for the 2.4 Ghz and pairing the device but this is not available on the BT Homehub.

It seems crazy that the only way to get it to work is to install another network when I have chosen BT for whole home coverage.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Smart hub2

HELP !!!!!!!
