Full Fibre 100 and Draytek Vigor 130?

Hi,

We are due to be upgraded from Fibre 1 to Full Fibre 100 next week, and I’m currently using a Draytek Vigor 130 as my modem connected to a Netgear Nighthawk R7000. My connection before was a FTTC but the BT engineer is coming out to fit a box so we can get the FTTP for the Fibre 100, so I’m just wondering if my Vigor 130 will still work? If not can I at least bridge the R7000 from the Smart Hub 2 as I need the stronger signal for my Ring cameras outside and the Smart Hub 2 doesn’t reach.

Thanks for any help you can give!

@Robert__97

Welcome to this user forum.

If you are getting FTTP, then you do not need the Draytek Vigor 130, as the Openreach ONT will replace that.

You can connect the R7000 direct to that, but its advisable to use the BT Smart Hub 2 to start with, to ensure your connection is working.

If you are being moved to BT Digital Voice, then you have to use the Smart Hub 2, as that provides the phone connection.
