I have a BT Superhub which I now know is version 1. I would like to set up a smart TV in a bedroom the does not have a good WIFI signal, in fact almost non-existent I cannot move the hub from its fixed wall socket to another part of the house. I am currently on Fibre 1 + Halo 1 tariff and I am in contract for another year.

Q - I do not want to upgrade to Home Complete, as this means paying £10 extra a month plus extending a contract. I would prefer to buy and own a disc or other reliable extender. Does the BT Disc work with my hub?

Q - Are there other options open to me, for example could I buy the equipment needed outright?

Thanking you all in advance

The black complete wifi discs only work with the SH2. A simpler option would be these they will provide 2 Ethernet ports and a wifi hotspot signal. It is best to connect the TV via Ethernet rather than wifi in any case.
