connecting new smart hub 2 to wifi weather station

Hi. We have just received the new smart hub 2 and had fibre installed. One of our devices is a wifi weather station but it won't connect even though the instructions have been followed. It might be something to do with the duel band but I don't know how to ask either device to only connect to the 2.4ghz as that is what the instruction manual for the weather station asks. I'm beginning to lose patience.

See this thread about turning off the Smarthub's 5Ghz until you have connected a 2.4Ghz device and then turning the 5Ghz on after it's connected.

Turn off smart setup

With this and downloading the connecting app into an old phone it's worked. Many thanks
