Connect landline to router

I have Panasonic KX-PRW120 home phones which I would like to connect to my Smarthub 2 to enable use of my smartphone to answer and make calls. The phone shows that it can be done but cannot detect any networks. All I get is a short stream of pips and then nothing.

Can anyone help?

Forgive my ignorance but what is meant by digital voice?

Digital Voice is VOIP using the SH2 as a dect base station

as you obviously don't have it then your phone will not work connected to the SH2
