Ip Address Not Local Anymore

A couple of weeks into January this year I noticed that my IP address was not my local city anymore. In 20 years of using bt internet I have never seen this change. I’ve had locations all over the country hundreds of miles away. I have to now turn on google location to local results. Using WiFi on iPad I still get local results.

Your IP address could come from anywhere in the country, depending on which POP (Point Of Presence) site you are routed to.

Its not a reliable indication of location.
