Whole home network extension

Hi there,

I’m looking to get an internet connection into my garage that will include cameras.

The NVR will be located in the house wired off the switch that is connected to my router inside. The cameras on the garage however will be ip based and connected to a small network switch in the garage that will be wired into the LAN port on the whole home disc that hopefully will of created a bridge network for me.

is this something that is possible or am I talking absolute waffle before I go and buy all the kit and realise I need a hardwired network out there? I already know the whole home will produce a strong Wi-Fi network in the remote garage so that’s one question ticked off. It’s just connecting a network switch and cameras into its LAN port that I’m not sure about.
