Hello, I am just looking for some advice. I have BT fibre setup downstairs with the master socket and the super hub next to it. I need a wired connection for online gaming upstairs. At the moment I am using the BT disc which is good but I feel I am not getting the full speed I am paying for, if I had wired it would be much stronger. I am thinking to buy a extra long internet cable which I will have to look into setting up professionally, has anybody tried doing this anything I need to keep in mind?

Yes it can be done with a long Ethernet cable. Easy if you don’t need to run it through small holes. More flexible will be to terminate Ethernet cables using a tool and plugs. The pull through variety are much easier to use. About £20 for the tool and plugs. Useful in the future.
