Using Premium Home Wi-Fi discs without Ethernet connection

Hi all,

I've recently been given a premium whole home wifi (2 disc) pack.

My current setup is a single plume (wifi router) with my current internet provider.

I have the option to replace the plume with disc 1 and use disc 2 as the extender, but I would ideally like both discs to act as add-ons.
I can attach one disc to the plume via ethernet & connect the 2nd to this one, but ideally I want them both to connect to the current network via wps setup.
Turning the first disc on, it only fast-flashes blue and I cannot force it to slow-flash blue to put it straight into wps mode.

Is this possible to do? If so I would likely purchase more if so as they seem to be perfect for what I need!
