My disc started (re)connecting to the 2.4Ghz network as well after months of using it on the 5Ghz connection. I switched off the 2.4Ghz connection on the hub as I have nothing that is using it and the disc remained connected to the 5Ghz network no problem.

BT Smart Hub 2 Hard wired discs dropping to 2.4Ghz

Hi, I have a smart hub 2 with 3 external wifi discs.

I have hard wired a disc back to the smart hub, and it is connected over Ethernet with 1000Mbps connection.

When it first powered up I got a nice 5Ghz connection to the disc from my mobile which is about 1m away. Now after an hour my mobile will only connect at 2.4Ghz I get decent speed but I am getting so frustrated with the disc only offering 2.4Ghz connectivity.

I have also had one disc that was 5Ghz (wireless) connected to the router for about 30 days. now I am lucky to get 1 day with it being connected at 5Ghz. I have even moved it sightly closer (~5M away) and it still drops to 2.4Ghz.

BT - this wifi disc solution you have need addressing as its not performing and hearing answers like, interference. or distance is a fob off
