BT Smart Hub 2 as Modem only -- views on this config change

Hello,

Has anyone any experience of using this suggested config change to the BT Home Hub to make it work as Modem only.

it appears to work OK for me but i am a little concerned about any security breaches in this config that uses the DMZ feature.

It will work, it's a bodge, it isn't putting the BT hub into Modem mode, it doesn't have a bridge mode. The hub is still routing and natting, it is simply connecting 2 routers together.

The only reason to do it would be to maintain Digital Voice capability which requires the Smart Hub2 to operate.

It doesn't have a modem only mode.
