YouTube videos buffering yet speed test shows 40-50Mbps ?

Any ideas why this would happen? If set to Auto resolution YT wants to play at 480p on my surface yet internet speed test websites show 40-50mbps speeds on the same laptop ? I'd like to play 2k or 4k youtube videos but they constantly buffer ?

Hi @Hawkmoon19 welcome back to the community and thanks for posting, I've done a quick google search and Youtube requires a minimum speed of 20Mb to stream 4k so I don't think the issue is with your broadband connection. You might be best raising this with Youtube support directly to see if there are any settings that you need to adjust on Youtube or your laptop to help with the buffering.

Well I'm not sure it isn't a bandwidth issue though as my other family members are simultaneously using streaming services, playing online games etc
