Hi,

Recently I split the bands to connect some smart lightbulbs to the 2.4ghz band but now the option to "un-split" doesn't show up in the smart hub manager (as shown in attached image).

Usually it would be in the upper right hand corner but suddenly isn't there anymore.

Has it moved or am I doing something wrong?

For reference I have the BT Smart Hub 1.

Thanks for any help.

'Splitting' the bands just means giving them different SSIDs (Network name). You just need to rename one of the bands to be the same as the other although I have no idea why you would want to as it causes endless problems.

Thanks for the answer, I thought they moved the switch somewhere else!

I know it's usually better without but I've been having poor internet speeds lately and want to exhaust all options before I get a booster.

Thanks again!

Neil

If you give them the same SSID you won't know which band you are connected to and won't be able to force a switch to the other band if needed.
