problem downloading files and some updates for my laptop and some programmes

I'm trying to update one of my programmes on my laptop running windows 10 with BT virus protect and all I am getting is the download seems to come down then at the end of the download I get a message that download failed virus scan failed can anyone help

Try turning BT Virus protect off.

Windows 10 has its own virus protection which should automatically turn back on after you have turned BT Virus Protect off if not start it manually.

Then try downloading your update and if it works you can then turn BT Virus Protect back on although personally I would uninstall it and just stick to the Windows virus protection.

Thanks for the information It worked and I am back using BT anti virus with no problems after complete reinstall thanks again
