New Router | Modem Mode?

Hello, I am currently in the process of buying a new router due to the smart hub 2 driving me crazy, just bad UI, bad coverage and not a lot of features.

I am wondering if there is a modem mode on the router so I can just plug that into the new router. Or do I have to find a new modem to buy? If so do you have any recommendations of a modem what doesn't cost that much. I am planning on buying a new router than getting a cheaper one and use it as AP mode so I can have better coverage in my house.

Any suggestions will great.

I would get a wireless access point rather than replacing your router. A repurposed router makes a great wireless point.

If you do replace it, simply get a combined modem/router rather than a router. Most manufacturers offer combined or router only versions of their models.
