Wi-Fi connection

I frequently have to reboot my modem.

Although I have Wi-Fi connection there is no internet. This is mainly on problem on my ipad but also the Sony TV. Rebooting usually solves the problem but is a nuisance.

Also, I am running devices off the house’s Ethernet which is connected by cable to the modem. Swapping output cables between the output ports on the modem is sometimes necessary when I have a ‘no internet’ message using the Ethernet.

Any suggestions please? Could I need a new modem?

when you say modem do you actually mean the BT hub and not a separate modem
