BT homespots no longer working with BT hub

Hi all,

Last month my BT homespot suddenly stopped working. It was a BT homespot 600. I tried resetting both the homespots and the BT hub which I factory reset. I also tried relinking the homespot to the extender and all to no avail! I then tried to use my old bt homespot 500 but they didn't work either! Does this mean that there is an issue with the hub itself as both homespot 500/600s didn't work? I have run out of solutions that I can find and the homespots still dont work a month later. Could anyone help with this issue?

Does the hotspot work if you

Plug both units into the same double power socket.
Do a factory reset on both units (even if you've already done it.).
Connect the extender to the router with an ethernet cable.
